The Greater Ravalli Foundation was formed in 2002 to help fill in the gaps of the crumbling public education financial situation in the Bitterroot Valley of Montana.
The daughter of a Stock Farm member brought the issue to the forefront when, unbeknownst to her parents, she started taking extra peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to school to share with friends who could not afford the school lunches. From this, the Foundation has grown into a strong organization that has given over $1.5 million since October 2002 to education and sustenance programs in the Bitterroot Valley.
